Every day, the Tenants' Association, its elected representatives, employees, and members contribute to improving people's housing. We have done this for many years, and we want to continue advocating for tenants' interests, rights, and opportunities to influence their housing in the future.
Do you want to be part of strengthening knowledge, engagement, and participation in a modern mass movement?
Do you thrive in a role where you can combine strategy, adult education, and development work?
Do you want to work on making knowledge accessible, relevant, and useful for people who want to change society together with others?
Then this might be the role for you.
Your assignment
As an Education Strategist here, you are responsible for driving and developing the strategic educational and adult education work in the South East region.
You work long-term to create conditions for learning, engagement, and knowledge development for our elected representatives, members, and tenants – where adult education is an important tool for strengthening both individuals and the movement.
In the role, you will:
- Drive the strategic work within the education and adult education area in the region
- Conduct environmental and needs analyses related to education and knowledge building
- Develop methods, approaches, and strategies for adult education work
- Coordinate, follow up, and develop educational initiatives based on regional and national goals
- Collaborate closely with the region's board education committee on strategic issues
- Drive development projects and support the organization in educational and development matters
- Ensure that reports, analyses, and knowledge are translated into learning and adult education
- Collaborate with external actors, such as ABF, to develop new forms of learning and reach more target groups
You will become a key person in making knowledge alive and relevant throughout our mass movement.
Your background
We are looking for you who have experience in strategic work within education, adult education, or organizational development – and who see knowledge as a driver for engagement and change.
You have the ability to work both analytically and creatively, and thrive in a role where you get to turn ideas, reports, and needs into concrete educational initiatives and development work.
We are looking for you who:
- Have experience in strategic work within education, adult education, or organizational development
- Have a good understanding of how a member-driven or mission-driven organization functions
- Have experience driving development or change work
- Have very good communicative skills in Swedish, both oral and written
Qualifications:
- Experience in analyzing, compiling, and translating knowledge into practical learning
- Experience in project management, development work, or coordination
- Ability to work structured and long-term with several processes in parallel
Merits:
- Experience in adult education or collaboration with study associations
- Experience working in a mass movement or membership organization
- Experience in developing educational materials or educational formats
Personal qualities
To succeed in the role, you are:
Strategic and analytical, you see long-term needs and development opportunities and can translate them into concrete initiatives.
Pedagogical and communicative, you make knowledge accessible, understandable, and engaging for different target groups.
Initiative-taking, relationship-building, and structured, you drive development forward, build collaborations, and can keep complex processes together over time.
Inspiring and inclusive, you create engagement, build trust, and contribute to a positive climate where people feel welcome, seen, and motivated to contribute.
Our offer to you
We are a values-driven organization with a strong sense of community and good employment conditions. We value that our employees have a good and pleasant work environment. Here you have the opportunity to develop and grow.
Collective agreements, flexible working hours, the possibility of hybrid work, a generous wellness allowance, and pension are some of the benefits we offer. With us, you get to collaborate with colleagues that you can have fun with and learn from.
The location is Linköping, Jönköping, or Växjö.
Application
Welcome to submit your application today or by August 21st. We apply a 6-month probation period. If you have questions, you are warmly welcome to call Unit Manager Maria Bergagård at 072-648 70 24 or via email at [email protected]. Welcome to the Tenants' Association!
We work for reasonable rents and good conditions for everyone in rental housing. A secure home for life where people and society develop. With over 580,000 members, we are Sweden's largest mass movement and membership organization for tenants. At over 40 offices across the country, our approx. 800 dedicated tenant heroes work together with over 9,000 elected representatives. We are an organization in constant motion that challenges ourselves and learns from each other. With us, you get the opportunity to try things that are new, difficult, and perhaps unexpected. In this way, we become stronger together. Do you want to get to know us even better? Follow us on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/hyresgastforeningen/).
The Tenants' Association is divided into nine regions across the country. The work and needs may look different depending on the geographical area. All regions coordinate the efforts needed for their respective region, and here all expertise is gathered in the form of lawyers and negotiators. As an organization, we are passionate about everyone having the right to a good home at a reasonable cost.
Region South East is a workplace spanning 52 municipalities and six counties. We have over 80,000 members and approx. 100 employees. We have several qualified professional groups, and our employees work independently with great responsibility and therefore have large development opportunities. Different professional groups often work together, as well as with elected representatives and in direct contact with members. This places demands on employees feeling like part of the whole in the organization and understanding the meaning of working in a mass movement.
